I believe that all children are looking to be seen and heard and that leading with connection is the key to a strong parent-child relationship.

I am a former preschool teacher and mother to three children (ages 10, 7, and 4). The most important thing to me – and to my clients – is that my own parenting approach is respectful and intentional. I’m keenly aware that each of my children brought into the world their own personality, developmental needs, gifts, challenges, and communication style. My job as their parent is to help them become their best selves; to help them develop into young people with moral centers; to feel equipped to engage with the world; to help them understand that they belong in the world – no more and no less than anyone else; to help them embrace the fact that being in the human family comes with behavioral, relational, and even civic responsibilities.

My mission is to support you in your parenting journey, helping you feel less alone in the challenges as well as helping you enjoy the moments that are pure sweetness. I am here to offer you advice and guidance in the spaces where you feel stuck. I love working with new parents – or seasoned ones! – as you take on the most important role of your lifetime. Though the details of the challenges you face may differ in different eras of your child’s life – picky eating, potty training, power struggles, transitions, tantrums, new siblings and big life changes – the larger challenge will always be to stay grounded and maintaining a loving connection with your child. I am in the trenches with you so I fully understand how hard parenting can be. I also know how valuable support and having a full toolbox can be!

I have a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Rollins College and an M.A. from NYU Steinhardt in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I’ve worked as a preschool teacher at independent NYC pre-schools and taught at the Young Adult Institute, working with children with significant developmental delays. I’ve also worked in ASD (autism spectrum disorder) Nest classrooms.
